Eregi TTC to Become a Full-Fledged University: A Major Milestone for Idakho South and Kakamega County.

Fast-tracking the upgrade of Eregi TTC into a full-fledged university is among the key development projects that the Kakamega County Government aims to actualize in the Idakho South Ward, Ikolomani Constituency.

Speaking to stakeholders from the Idakho South community at his residence in Matungu, H.E. Governor Fernandes Barasa emphasized his administration's commitment to several critical initiatives. These include the conversion of Milimani and Imalava Dispensaries into fully-fledged health centers, staffing and equipping Sheywe Polytechnic, constructing Lukose Bridge and Shisejeri Modern Market, advancing rural electrification, street lighting, and the gazettement of Imalaba Market.

Governor Barasa reiterated his dedication to the Amatsi Khumuliango clarion call, assuring the community of the completion of the Butwehe Last Mile Water Connectivity Project, the metering of the Imalaba Water Project, and water connectivity in the Kaluni, Shanjesto, and Madivini areas.

Rashid Echessa is a troubled man.

After he cunningly manipulated a few elders and crooked men to install him as the Abashitsetse Spokesman, King Nabongo was furious. The king issued a stern statement, declaring that there can only be one spokesman of the Wanga people—the king himself.

Rashid Echessa has been facing severe consequences from this illegitimate installation.

Wanga elders insist that the Omukasa is protected by their gods, and no one else can claim this sacred title. It is hereditary, and they were shocked that Rashid Echessa, whose bloodline has never been linked to leadership, would dare to force himself into a position he cannot rightfully ascend to. Residents of Shibale recall that Rashid was once a notorious thief and burglar, who schemed his way into prominence. He would orchestrate thefts, warn the targets in advance, and then let his accomplices proceed with the plan, often leading to their deaths by police. He would then extort money from the target and use some of the cash to pay for the boys' burials or hospital bills. One of his victims was former MD Evans Kidero.

He attempted the same scheme with Kebati, but when Kebati refused to pay him, Rashid shot him, leaving Kebati permanently disabled.

Now, all those who plotted and installed Rashid Echessa as the spokesman are suffering. The Wanga gods are not pleased.

1. Prince Ambani - He cannot sleep, as snakes slither through his compound daily. Troubled, he has called elders to help and sent a delegation to the king to ask for forgiveness. His troubles began when his car was stolen in Mumias. Auctioneers are now after him, and he is a man under siege.
2. Mzee Tombera - He is bedridden, wracked with pain and cries every day.
3. Opanda- He is sickly and appears to be losing his sanity, haunted by his actions.

And many others.

Rashid himself cannot sleep, plagued by visions that cause him to shout every night. In desperation, he has sent elders to King Nabongo, begging to reverse the process. Nabongo has given him conditions that are not easy to meet.

OPARANYA, STOP MEDDLING IN KAKAMEGA COUNTY AFFAIRS.

Oparanya should take a page from his counterpart Ali Hassan Joho and allow Governor Barasa to deliver on his mandate. Joho has gracefully allowed his successor to govern in his own style, while Oparanya is busy fighting Governor Barasa. Joho is meeting friends to help him become the party leader.

Last Friday, Elsie Muhanda cunningly lured Oparanya into hosting a meeting with MCAs at her residence under the guise of a friendly lunch. Little did the unsuspecting MCAs know, they were walking into a carefully laid trap. The agenda? The removal of the majority leader, Oparanya's son-in-law, Amos Liyayi, whose nomination was dubiously acquired by Oparanya himself, pilfered from Mitalo.  Dan Mukofu, Muhanda's PA, were supposed to ensure the presence of goons in the Assembly.

Today, loyal members of the ODM party and Kakamega residents woke up to distressing news. It became evident that Oparanya and Muhanda were spearheading a campaign to oust Hon. Phillip Maina, a move seen as a blatant power grab aimed at installing their puppet, Ondiro Geoffrey, in his place.

Oparanya's refusal to acknowledge his departure from the county's helm is glaring, as evidenced by his relentless attempts to sway the county assembly and county executive. Despite the expiration of his tenure, Oparanya still craves control over the Assembly and few fellows in the executive, displaying a blatant disregard for democratic principles.

Instead of fostering unity among ODM members and leaders,Oparanya's actions have sown seeds of division. Many question his motives, particularly his obsession with undermining Governor Barasa, rather than fostering constructive engagement within the party and the county.

In stark contrast, leaders like Ali Hassan Joho have gracefully relinquished power to their successors, allowing them the freedom to govern effectively. Oparanya's reluctance to follow suit hints at his insatiable thirst for influence, much to the dismay of those yearning for a smoother political transition.

Oparanya's meddling in county affairs not only undermines the democratic process but also hampers Kakamega's growth and development. He must be told that Muhanda's gubernatorial aspirations remain a distant dream.

Their latest plan to impeach the county Assembly speaker after the majority leader is merely another ploy to thwart Governor Barasa's development agenda. However, they are taken aback by Governor Barasa's active presence across the county, launching projects and engaging with residents tirelessly , Governor Barasa has a strong political support, and a strong political team.
