OPARANYA, STOP MEDDLING IN KAKAMEGA COUNTY AFFAIRS.

Oparanya should take a page from his counterpart Ali Hassan Joho and allow Governor Barasa to deliver on his mandate. Joho has gracefully allowed his successor to govern in his own style, while Oparanya is busy fighting Governor Barasa. Joho is meeting friends to help him become the party leader.

Last Friday, Elsie Muhanda cunningly lured Oparanya into hosting a meeting with MCAs at her residence under the guise of a friendly lunch. Little did the unsuspecting MCAs know, they were walking into a carefully laid trap. The agenda? The removal of the majority leader, Oparanya's son-in-law, Amos Liyayi, whose nomination was dubiously acquired by Oparanya himself, pilfered from Mitalo.  Dan Mukofu, Muhanda's PA, were supposed to ensure the presence of goons in the Assembly.

Today, loyal members of the ODM party and Kakamega residents woke up to distressing news. It became evident that Oparanya and Muhanda were spearheading a campaign to oust Hon. Phillip Maina, a move seen as a blatant power grab aimed at installing their puppet, Ondiro Geoffrey, in his place.

Oparanya's refusal to acknowledge his departure from the county's helm is glaring, as evidenced by his relentless attempts to sway the county assembly and county executive. Despite the expiration of his tenure, Oparanya still craves control over the Assembly and few fellows in the executive, displaying a blatant disregard for democratic principles.

Instead of fostering unity among ODM members and leaders,Oparanya's actions have sown seeds of division. Many question his motives, particularly his obsession with undermining Governor Barasa, rather than fostering constructive engagement within the party and the county.

In stark contrast, leaders like Ali Hassan Joho have gracefully relinquished power to their successors, allowing them the freedom to govern effectively. Oparanya's reluctance to follow suit hints at his insatiable thirst for influence, much to the dismay of those yearning for a smoother political transition.

Oparanya's meddling in county affairs not only undermines the democratic process but also hampers Kakamega's growth and development. He must be told that Muhanda's gubernatorial aspirations remain a distant dream.

Their latest plan to impeach the county Assembly speaker after the majority leader is merely another ploy to thwart Governor Barasa's development agenda. However, they are taken aback by Governor Barasa's active presence across the county, launching projects and engaging with residents tirelessly , Governor Barasa has a strong political support, and a strong political team.

OPARANYA PLANS AND PLOTS TO FINISH WANGAs

In the heart of Kakamega County, a longstanding bond between the Abamarama and Abawanga communities is being tested as political maneuvers threaten to fracture the once-unified front.

For years, the Abawanga have stood steadfastly behind their Abamarama counterparts, offering unwavering support in matters of elective leadership. From ministerial positions to gubernatorial roles, the Abawanga have lent their allegiance, ensuring their neighbors' ascendancy to power.

However, recent events have unveiled a stark betrayal brewing within this alliance. Governor Oparanya has begun to orchestrate a calculated campaign to dismantle their longstanding partnership. The Abawanga have been submissive and supportive of the Abamarama, to an extent; under Anangwe's leadership, the administration offices were relocated to Butere, a less developed area compared to Mumias town, dubbed Butere-Mumias. In fact, Governor Barasa is advocating for its municipality status.

The Abawanga have supported Oparanya unconditionally for the last 10 years as governor, never allowing any of their sons to vie against him; it was considered sacrilegious. They offered him necessary support not because they were inferior, but because of good neighborly relations.

Under the guise of political ambition, former Governor Oparanya has strategically aligned himself with contenders who seek to undermine Governor Barasa's administration. He is now rallying behind opposition candidates and funding divisive tactics in the southern region of Kakamega. Oparanya's agenda appears clear: to secure his own political future at the expense of unity and stability within southern Kakamega.

First, attempts were made through proxies like Elsie Muhanda, who failed terribly to sway the masses. Now, he has turned to Khalwale to challenge Governor Barasa's authority and development, but these efforts have faltered in the face of resilience and determination. Undeterred, Oparanya has now resorted to more aggressive tactics, leveraging financial resources and political connections to sow discord and division among the Abawanga.

By instigating conflicts and fostering dissent in Governor Barasa's stronghold, Oparanya aims to weaken the southern vote block and support base, paving the way for his own ascent to power as a senator. Promising lucrative incentives to political allies and manipulating the loyalty of Wanga local leaders like Oduory and Rashid Echessa, Oparanya's pursuit of a senatorial seat comes at the cost of destabilizing the region and betraying the trust of those who once stood by him.

He has now started funding local politicians to use the mumias sugar card, a factory that was eaten to its death bed when he was a governor.

As tensions rise and allegiances are tested, will the southern vote block succumb to the divisive tactics of political opportunists, or will they unite to reject betrayal and preserve the harmony that has long defined their shared heritage? Our eyes are open, we are poised to determine the course of our collective destiny amidst the looming shadow of political betrayal.

Hon. Peter Salasya taught a big lesson, humiliated and humbled.

Hon. Peter Salasya, MP for Mumias East, received a serious lesson yesterday from hired goons from Shibale and a team of goons mobilized by Peter Oscar Nabulindo. Rashid Echesa arrived in style at the burial of former Senator Godliver Omondi with a contingent of two lorries full of goons. The goons announced their presence by invading the cafeteria where locals were serving lunch, taking off with sufurias full of kuku and ugali, shocking the people of Matungu. On the other hand, Nabulindo's goons had slept at the funeral, drinking local brew.

The sole mission of these goons was to heckle anyone speaking against the KK government and Rashid Mohammed. On the other hand, Nabulindo's goons had specific instructions: to heckle Osanga and any other leader who would try to outshine their master. PK Salasya, on the contrary, was unaware of this trap. Instead, he was busy organizing goons to heckle Governor Barasa. He arrived late, thinking he was too popular and would receive a warm reception with cheers. However, he was surprised that what awaited him was a thorough beating as he was ushered in and was warned that other leaders must be respected.

The Azimio party leader was forced to order PK to respect other leaders, terming him as young and excited. But it was too late; his V8 had been seriously stoned. We urge leaders to be tolerant. PK must be told that whenever he visits other constituencies, he must respect those leaders there.
